Despite entering their first-ever continental adventure, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Without key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding win that all but secures them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure direct entry to the last 16, especially following a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Moment
This occasion offered a chance for several Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second game in match.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring with his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
